Not that I don't enjoy the food and frivolity, I am so so glad that I am finally home and not still at my mom's cleaning up after eating or cleaning up while we're cooking. It feels good to lie in bed with the laptop and watch a movie. Plus, the noise level goes from fairly quiet in my house to extremely noisy and that alone makes me want to come right home.
The food was good. That is about all that is good about the holidays. The traditional cookies and pies plus the Christmas dinner. The stuff is good. You wait all year for it and then it tastes divine.
Well I'm pooped. In fact, I fell asleep all the way home from my mom's house. Too much of everything. Now back to normal. I say that because we don't do squat on New Year's.

- First of all, I think I write too much per posts so be prepared. Sometimes I have more than one post per day. It's because I'm a former school teacher who spends too much time thinking. Can you imagine me swinging my arms around while I spew useless information. I left teaching for too many reasons and now it's just me and my husband and we consider our dog our child. With so much free time, why not spend it spewing random nonsense. Or I indulge in hobbies, which seem to be growing. Either way, have to love life at the moment even if I complain a bit. I'm sure there are many workaholics who would love all the time I use to sit here and crochet. :) Hope you love my randomness.
